Professional Qualifications

Hello and welcome. I’m Hannah, a qualified Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I founded WellSpace Counselling in 2020 to offer ongoing, in-depth psychotherapy for people who want to make profound changes in their lives

In addition to running WellSpace Counselling, I write on a freelance basis, approaching popular wellness topics from a place of expertise and integrity. I advocate the use of qualified psychotherapeutic knowledge within the media discourse surrounding mental and emotional health and regularly contribute to UK and international print and online media.

I am as committed to my own long-term psychotherapy as that of my clients’ and have been engaged in this process for several years. Before creating WellSpace, I worked in the charity sector, offering low-cost psychological therapies to the Winchester community. I also taught A Level Psychology at a local Sixth-Form College for 10 years.

Prior to undertaking my four years of therapy training, I gained a degree in Social Anthropology. Studying what it means to be human has afforded me a unique understanding of personal development, how we make our lives meaningful and how we interact with our surroundings. This appreciation for the reciprocal relationship between our sociocultural and psychological worlds continues to enrich my client work.

As a registered member of the BACP, I am committed to ethical practice and attend regular supervision, continued professional development opportunities and my own personal therapy; to continually increase my awareness, knowledge and skills.
